Company: Haya Water
Haya Water operates a world class water reuse system for the Muscat Governorate. Their vision is to enable Muscat to become one of the top cities in the world by building and operating a Water Reuse System that connects to 80% of the properties by the year 2018 and bring enormous environmental benefits to the city.
Haya Water’s project was established with a clear objective to generate the maximum amount of treated effluent – recycled waste water – to be used to benefit society.
In a desert environment with scarce natural water resources, it is imperative to maximise every water resource possible – which is why water reuse is at the very heart of Haya Water’s project in Muscat. The end product of its reuse project is treated effluent – that is used to help sustain and create new green areas in Muscat with the opportunity for agricultural use in the future.
Haya Water is fully committed to its goal of “Making Muscat A Better City” – a modern, environmentally aware urban centre - that helps individuals, families and businesses enjoy a successful and prosperous future. We will achieve this by installing one of the most complex and advanced civil engineering projects ever constructed in Oman.
Haya Water required a system which will enable them to monitor their fleet of vehicles including Light and Heavy vehicles to improve efficiency and reduce cost by having real-time information about vehicles position, actual utilization, speed, etc.
Their Administration department has been able to efficiently manage their Fleet by improving routing, planning, eliminated unauthorized vehicle usage, excessive idling and other wasteful habits by drivers. Operators are successfully managing drivers and tracking their vehicles in real-time, in addition to analysing historical data such as performance and driver behaviour using detailed reports. These reports have shown a decline in harsh braking, harsh acceleration, over speeding and other undesirable driver behaviour.
In addition to the online tracking, they are using the system for Annual registration notification, Service & maintenance reminder alerts. This helps in pre-planning the vehicles which may be off the road due to servicing and routine maintenance.
